Swelling hydraulic waterstop strip is a kind of popular water stop products for concrete constructions. Bentonite is a swellable clay waterproofing compound that is glued or nailed in strips into construction joints. Known as a hydrophilic waterstop system, bentonite expands up to sixteen times its dry volume when it comes into contact with water, forming a compression seal in concrete joints. Bentonite’s ability to swell enables it to fill small cracks and voids in concrete, preventing the ingress of water around joints. And since clay is a natural material, bentonite is a popular waterstop choice for potable water applications.
First, our tech in our lab will adjust the formula of the rubber and bentonite ETC to meet the requirements of different customers according to their temperature and humid situation of the projects.
Second, our workers will mix the materials and heat or add other chemicals to make the materials ready for the extrucing machine.
Third, when the bentonite water stop raw materials are ready, the workers will change the model of the extruder machine to form different sizes and shapes as required.
